After the seventh unbeaten match in a row over all competitions, let's talking about. What did happen when Curbs left in September? The new manager Zola started with a win over Newcastle, a defeat at Watford and a success at Fulham. Following an impressive start into this season the Hammers went down rapidly from the beginning in October with four defeats in a row. And at the end of the year the squad marches throug many up's and down's, seen against Liverpool, Chelsea , Everton and Villa. We were one of the hottest candidates of the relegation spots and the papers thought we must sell most of our key-players not to go bankrupt. Right at this moment things turned upside down. A row of seven unbeaten matches over all secured us a high ranking in the table with a look up to the top six. And a change of philosophy by the club declared we will not sell our best players, especially to our next rivals. Who are these people behind? I think it is not a one-man-show, obviously all off the staff going in the same direction. There is a clear concept by Zola and Clarke which gives the players a strong confidence about themself. Last but not least the CEO declares that West Ham is not willing to strengthen our opponents every year. That sounds good and all the hopes and expectations of the fans are satisfied. The ongoing success is a result of all together. Let's continue what they have started. Off to new shores!
Up the Hammers!!!
Up the Hammers!!!
